Getting started
What is Nunibo?
Nunibo is an iPhone app for tracking your baby's sleep, nursing, bottles, diapers and more, in one tap. Tracking is free. With Nunibo Plus it predicts when your baby will be tired next and shares everything with your family.
Is Nunibo available yet?
Nunibo is launching on the App Store soon. Leave your email on the home page and we will let you know the day it is live.
Which devices does it work on?
iPhone running iOS 18 or newer. With Plus, the Lock Screen timers also show on Apple Watch. There is no iPad or Android version yet.
Which languages does the app support?
English, Hebrew, Spanish, French, German and Russian. The app follows your phone's language, and you can change it in the Family tab.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes, one quick account keeps your data safe if you change phones and lets it sync with your family. Sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email and password.
What ages is it for?
Newborns up to toddlers. Nunibo adapts what it considers normal for sleep as your baby grows, and uses the corrected age for babies born early, until age 2.
Tracking
What can I track?
Sleep, nursing (left and right), bottles, pumping, diapers (wet, dirty or both), solids, temperature, medicine, growth (weight, height, head size), activities and free notes.
How fast is logging?
The everyday actions (sleep, nursing, diaper, bottle) are one tap from the Today screen. Each shows Undo for a few seconds. Tap the ⋯ on a card for the full form, for example to log something that happened an hour ago.
Can I change the Today screen?
Yes. Tap Arrange Today to move, resize or hide cards.
I forgot to start the sleep timer. Can I fix it?
Yes. Tap the main timer on the Today screen and change the start time. You can also edit or delete any entry in Reports.
I started a timer by mistake.
While nursing, tap the ✕ next to the checkmark to cancel without saving. During sleep, tap "Cancel this sleep". Both ask you to confirm.
Can I use it if I only bottle feed?
Yes. In the baby's settings, switch breastfeeding off. The nursing buttons and pump log are hidden, and past history is kept.
What is Night Mode?
A dim screen with huge buttons so you can log at 3 a.m. without waking everyone up. The screen stays on while it is open.
Are there sleep sounds?
Yes, free for everyone: white, pink and brown noise, womb, ocean, rain and fan, with a volume control and a timer.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Everything is saved on your phone first and syncs when you are connected again.
Can I see my history?
Yes. Reports shows day, week or month views. Swipe between them, or jump to yesterday, last week or any date. Each day has a summary of sleep, feeds and diapers.
Can I change units and the clock?
Yes. Choose kg or lb, cm or inches, °C or °F, ml or fl oz, and a 12- or 24-hour clock. By default Nunibo follows your phone's settings. Light and Dark mode are there too.
Can I have more than one baby?
Yes. Add more babies and switch between them.
Sleep and predictions
How does the sleep prediction work?
With Plus, Nunibo looks at your baby's age and the sleep and wake times you log, and works out when your baby is most likely to be tired next, for naps and for bedtime. You see one time to aim for, with a quarter-hour either side. It gets better the more you log.
What does "Why this time?" show?
It explains what the suggestion is based on, so you can judge it yourself instead of trusting a mystery number.
How accurate is it?
Every baby is different, and a prediction is a suggestion, not a promise. Nunibo is most helpful after a few days of logging. If your baby shows sleepy cues earlier than predicted, trust your baby.
What bedtime does Nunibo suggest for a newborn?
Newborns don't have a body clock yet. It starts to develop at about 8 to 12 weeks, so the suggested bedtime in the first weeks is later and more flexible, and moves earlier as your baby grows. This is a rough guide, not medical advice.
Can I set my own bedtime?
Yes. In the baby's settings choose your own bedtime. Nunibo tells you what is typical at that age, and if your choice is outside the usual range it explains, and you can keep your time or switch.
What is the nap transition forecast?
As babies grow they drop naps, for example from three to two. With Plus, Insights shows when your baby is likely to be ready, based on age and their own sleep.
What does "Is Noa still asleep?" mean?
If a sleep runs much longer than usual, Nunibo checks in with a notification, in case "woke up" wasn't tapped. Tap "No, woke up" to set the wake time, or "Yes, still asleep" to be asked again later.
Sharing with your family
How do I share with my partner?
Sharing is part of Nunibo Plus. In the Family tab tap Invite someone and send the link in any app. Your partner installs Nunibo, signs up and opens the link. Each link works once and expires after 7 days.
Do both of us need Plus?
No. One subscription covers the family: everyone you invite gets Plus on their own phone for the shared baby. Invitations are sent from the account that holds Plus.
Can we both log at the same time?
Yes, entries from both phones sync automatically, and Nunibo keeps track of who logged what. If one parent ends a sleep the other started, Nunibo asks to make sure.
Can I share with grandparents or a nanny?
Yes. Send each of them their own invitation link. Everyone in the family can see and add entries for your baby.
Nunibo Plus and pricing
What is free and what is Plus?
Tracking is free: all the logging, timers, reports, charts, growth percentiles, sleep sounds and night mode. Plus adds sleep predictions with reminders, the nap transition forecast, widgets, Lock Screen timers and sharing with your family.
How much does Plus cost?
$7.99 per month or $59.99 per year ($5 a month, 37% less), with a 1-week free trial. Prices in your country may differ and are shown in the app before you buy.
How does the free trial work?
You confirm the subscription with Apple, and the trial lasts 1 week. You are charged only when it ends. Cancel at least 24 hours before it ends and you pay nothing.
How do I cancel?
On your iPhone: Settings, tap your name, Subscriptions, Nunibo, Cancel. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
Nothing is deleted. You keep all your logs and charts. Plus features such as predictions, widgets and family sharing switch off.
I bought Plus on another phone.
Open Nunibo, go to the Plus screen and tap Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID.
Growth charts
Which growth standard do you use?
The WHO Child Growth Standards for boys and girls. Each measurement gets a percentile, and you also see the 3rd, 15th, 50th, 85th and 97th percentile curves.
Why do you ask whether my baby is a boy or girl?
The WHO charts differ by sex, so this picks the right curves. It is optional, and the app works without it.
Is a low or high percentile a problem?
Percentiles describe where your baby sits among babies. Many healthy babies sit at low or high percentiles. What matters most is steady growth along their own curve. Talk to your pediatrician about concerns.
Privacy and security
What data does Nunibo collect?
Your name and email, your baby's profile, the entries you log, and your subscription status from Apple. We use no advertising, no tracking and no third-party analytics, and we never sell data.
Where is my data stored?
On servers in Frankfurt, Germany, in the EU. It is sent over HTTPS and passwords are stored hashed.
What is "Help improve predictions"?
An optional setting, off by default. If you turn it on, your baby's sleep times count anonymously (no names, emails or birth dates) towards averages for babies the same age. An average is only used once at least 20 families take part.
Is my baby's photo uploaded?
No. The photo you choose for the profile is kept on your phone only.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open the Family tab and tap Delete account. It removes your account and every baby profile no one else shares, with all its logs. If another parent still shares a baby, that baby's data stays for them. Deleting the account does not cancel an App Store subscription, so cancel that in your Apple ID settings.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes. Write to support@nunibo.com and we will reply within a month.
Is Nunibo for children?
No. Nunibo is for parents and caregivers aged 18 or older.
